
We shape how water works. The West Virginia Section of the American Water Works Association (WV-AWWA) is the authoritative resource for knowledge, information, and advocacy for improving the quality and supply of water in West Virginia and beyond.
The West Virginia Section American Water Works Association and the West Virginia Water Environment Association board of directors invite you to attend the 2012 Annual AWWA/WEA Joint Conference May 20-23. This year’s conference will take place at the Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center, located in Vienna just outside of Parkersburg.
We encourage all WV-AWWA members to plan ahead now to participate with the section at the 2013 Boy Scout Jamboree, scheduled for July 15-23, 2013. The Jamboree is being built to accommodate 40,000 Scouts and 7,000 leaders at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, located on 1,300 acres of the 10,600 acres owned by the Boy Scouts of America next to the New River Gorge National River Park and the New River.
After a several year hiatus, the WV-AWWA section’s pipe tapping competition returned at the 2012 West Virginia Construction and Design Expo on Wednesday, March 22 at the Civic Center in Charleston. Each team consisted of three workers and one coach. All persons on the team must be either WV-AWWA members
