2013 Annual AWWA/WEA Joint Conference – “Are You Prepared?”

The West Virginia Section American Water Works Association and the West Virginia Water Environment Association board of directors invite you to attend the 2013 Annual AWWA/WEA Joint Conference May 19-22. This year’s conference will take place at The Resort at Glade Springs, located near Beckley, W.Va.  in the town of Daniels. The conference theme is “Are You Prepared?” and our program committees have compiled a diverse technical session schedule that has something to offer everyone.

The festivities will begin on Sunday, May 19 with our annual Terry Smith Memorial Golf Tournament beginning at 8 a.m. on the resort’s Cobb Course. The annual picnic will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Little Beaver State Park.

An excellent Spouse’s Program will be arranged that we are sure will meet everyone’s highest expectations. We anticipate a full exhibit hall with the latest water and wastewater industry related technology displayed and expert technical assistance representatives present to help sort through it. Please make it a priority to take time out of your schedule to browse the exhibit hall and support the vendors that help make our conference possible each year through their generous support.

The Board has presented the WVBPH with 8.50 CEH’s for water and 8.75 CEH’s for wastewater. These credit hours will be available to each person at the conclusion of each seminar session. We encourage you to come and take advantage of everything that this year’s conference has to offer – great food, fun, fellowship, professional development and the latest technologies in the exhibit hall.
